Overview

This document will help you set up MSU ethernet access on your on-campus Macintosh computer running MacOS X 10.5.x Leopard.

Before You Begin

You must already have a valid MSU NetID to use MSU ethernet access.

Step 1: Go To System Preferences

Click on the "Apple" pulldown menu from your desktop and click on "System Preferences."

Step 2: Go to the Network Preference Pane

The "System Preferences" window should open. Select "Network."

Step 3: Network Configuration

  1. Select Ethernet from the list on the left.
  2. In the right hand section, select Using DHCP from the dropdown menu
  3. Click on Apply
