Overview

This article will provide you with documentation for configuring all of the supported Operating Systems for MSU ethernet access while on-campus.

Windows ethernet networking configurations

For MSU ethernet configuration, please select your Windows-based Operating System from the list below:

Note: we are not able to provide direct support for systems with Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows 98, Windows 95 or earlier installed.

MacOS ethernet networking configurations

For MSU ethernet configuration, please select your MacOS version from the list below:

Note: we are not able to provide direct support for systems with MacOS 10.2 or earlier installed.

Spartan Village cable modem configuration

As of July 25, 2005, Spartan Village will have cable modem service available for Internet access in some of its apartments; this cable Internet access will be hosted and supported by MSU. Software configuration for Spartan Village cable Internet access should be set up and used in a similar fashion as standard wired ethernet, using documentation for your Windows or Mac Operating System listed above. Refer to article 4765 for specific cable modem setup instructions.
